ive been at the oldest daughter of my host familie's house for the last week its really very nice. The daughter's husband is from algeria and is muslim, she is too. its ramadan now so we have been eating amazing sort of arabic style food every evening. they have two little girls, who are really beautiful, and not all that bad. the little one is 14 months and she speaks amazing baby talk, the first day i thought it was like baby french but then julie assured me it was nonsence. its just little noises but you can tell exactly what she wants to say. she reminds me of the baby from a series of unfortunate events. so the whole time ive been in france ive been watching "star acadamy", a french version of american idol. its not all that great but julie uses me as an excuse to watch it, she tells her friends she watches it because i love it, not true. well the sister has the special cable chanal that is live 24/7 from the house they all live in, so im completely star ac-ed out. right now we are watching the "prime", the big show thing that is on every friday night. jermey is the best, + hes pretty cute

at this point in my trip to france there is at least one thing ive learned; people are people. especially kids everyone goes through the same stages in life and such. but more than that, even if there arnt any cultural simmalarities (which there are, a ton) you still have being human in common, and thats enough.
i love my class, we have an awesome dynamic. my friends from school are the only ones that dont treat me like a stupid three year old. i really think that everything has really worked out perfectly since i came to france, bryan and i are in the same class, the class arnt to hard yet challenging and force me to learn french, i really like my family, and how could i not be content im in france?
my family is getting internet in the next few weeks so i can post all the pictures on my camera.

basically im so happy with everything, i can see the next year laying out ahead of me and theres nothing bad in it. so i have a story to tell two weeks ago i went go karting with my host sister her boyfriend his twin and their friend, i wasent really looking forward to it (my family takes me to do a lot of stereotypical ¨american¨ things) and the whole way in the car the boys were tlking about zhich one fo them are going to win, then when we get there the guy is telling us about how to drive, and i understand(not difficult) but my host mom says oh shes american as if im her pet or something. anyway the point was i had no choie but to beat them all. and i did i lapped every except for one guy, but i kicked butt, twas fab. and on the way home the boys just mopped strucken with defeat. they think if we go again they can win, yeah right. id like to thank my brothers for my cut throut competativness.
somehow i got put in the applied arts program which is great because art is one of those things i love but never have time for, everyone in my class is amazingly nice. i really enjoy my class and school and my family and france

While in France my address will be: 5 rue d'Islande 35580 Guichen
If you want me to send you mail and i dont already know your address either post it or tell me before i leave. My host family seems very french, should make for an authentic experience. I've been sickly for the past week and the doctor says it will last 10 days so I still have a few days left.
places to go while in Paris: Jim Morrison's grave The canal in Amelie les deux moulins
